Looking for a Christmas tree near Boston?
Whether you’re seeking a pre-cut tree from a lot near home or want to embrace the tradition of cutting your own, the Boston area offers a wide range of options.
Folks can shop for balsam bir and fraser fir trees at Allandale Farm this season. Parking reservations are required when shopping on Saturdays and Sundays and can be made on the farm’s website, but are not required during the week. Trees are 2 to 12 feet tall, ranging in price from $18-$288. The average trees in the 6 to 8 foot range cost $58 to $85. Shoppers will also find wreaths, garlands, ornaments, poinsettias, and baked goods. (259 Allandale R., Brookline)
You can drop by this garden center daily through Christmas Eve, and shop for trees from $19.95 to $200 that are up to 11 feet tall, as well as wreaths, ornaments, and poinsettias. The garden center accepts cash or checks. The center will sell trees until Christmas Eve at 5 p.m. (41 Bay State Rd., Cambridge)
This 56-year-old, veteran-owned family business has relocated from Harvard Avenue in Allston to Washington Street in Brighton. It’s selling trees in person through Dec. 24, as well as tree stands, wreaths, garlands, and mantle pieces. The trees range from 3 to 12 feet and cost between $30 and $200. Next day tree delivery is also available. (423 Washington St., Brighton)
Customers can stop by one of two lots located at Assembly Row in Somerville and The Station in Fenway for trees ranging from tabletop to more than 12 feet tall. Don’t have time to shop? They’ll pick out a tree for you and deliver it to your door. Prices range from $50 for a tabletop tree to $749 for a premium Fraser fir Christmas tree that’s up to 14 feet tall. Delivery rates range from $25 to $120, depending on where you live. Wreaths, tree stands, kissing balls, lights, and more are also available. The Fenway Tree Farm, located at The Station, offers trees from two feet to eight feet tall, ranging from $25 to $200. Customers can also buy wreaths, log basket decorations, and Christmas tree stands. Drive-in service is available, and customers can also pay for delivery service through Doordash. Customers can buy trees beginning on Nov. 21 that are up to 12 feet tall and range in price from $45 to $300. Delivery is available for a fee of $25 and up. Customers can also get custom-decorated wreaths and tree stands at the lot, which is open until midnight on Dec. 24. Trees can be ordered via text or phone by calling 857-891-0180. At this Union Square market, open through Dec. 24, you can buy a tree, have it loaded into or onto your car, or get it delivered to your door. Its trees range from tabletop size up to 11 feet tall and cost $60 to $340. Local delivery is available for $20 to $25. The market also sells decorative potted Christmas trees in all sizes, plus tabletop trees, wreaths, garlands, poinsettias, and mistletoe. (238 Washington St., Somerville)
The farm, which has been selling trees for over 50 years, offers Balsam firs as tall as 7 feet tall for $95, and pre-cut trees priced individually from $10-70. Saws are provided, but chainsaws are not permitted. The farm supplies twine and wraps the trees for free, but securing the tree to the car is the customer’s responsibility. The farm accepts cash and checks, but not credit cards. Pets are welcome. (120 Crane Neck St., West Newbury)
This 10-acre farm offers pre-cut, 6- to 8-foot tall or smaller trees from $60-$80. The farm has sold out of trees in their “choose and cut” field for the season, as well as tabletop trees. Delivery is available for an added charge. Wreaths and birch logs are also available. Santa visits the farm on Saturday, Nov. 30. Pets are welcome. (25 Birch St., Millis)
At this South Shore farm, customers can choose from Frasier and Balsamfirs, along with White Spruce.The trees cost $16 per foot on Dec. 6 and 7, and $12 per foot Dec. 13 and 14. Customers can cut their own using a saw (no power tools allowed) or ask farm employees to cut the trees for them. Employees can help fasten trees to cars. The farm takes cash and checks only and delivers trees for a fee. (Route 123, Neal Gate St., Scituate)
