Shake Shack’s 100th location is opening in Boston, and they’re celebrating with free burgers
The Seaport location will be the fifth Shack in the area.
Shake Shack, the fast-casual burger chain based out of New York City, is opening its 100th restaurant Tuesday, and it will be located in the Boston Seaport. You don’t have to be in the Seaport to help them celebrate, though. Starting when each location opens at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, the first 100 patrons at all U.S. Shacks, including the Seaport shop, will receive a free single ShackBurger. The new Boston restaurant will feature a little something extra, as well. Renowned Boston chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette have teamed up with Shake Shack to create the Coppa Burger, inspired by their award-winning Italian restaurant of the same name in Boston’s South End. This burger is an Angus beef hamburger topped with provolone cheese, griddled mortadella, cherry peppers, caramelized onions, mayo, and shredded lettuce. It will be available until Sunday at all five Boston Shake Shack locations: Boston Seaport, Chestnut Hill, Dedham, Harvard Square, and Newbury Street.Shake Shack’s new Seaport location will also feature two permanent exclusive frozen custard concretes (i.e., Shake Shack’s extremely thick milkshakes): Strawberry CrunchCake, which is a vanilla custard with fresh strawberry marshmallow sauce and crumbled sugar cone cookie, and Seaport Salt & Malt, a chocolate custard with salted caramel sauce, Taza dark chocolate chunks, chocolate toffee, and malt powder.
