The Medieval Manor won’t be back as soon as originally expected.

A post on the Medieval Manor Facebook page on Wednesday said that attempts to “reach a new lease agreement for the space where the Manor has lived for so long were unsuccessful.”

Though the manor may not reopen at the same castle, the restaurant’s employees will “continue to look for ways to bring back the king,” according to the post.

The Dark Age-themed restaurant and theater closed last New Year’s Eve after 40 years at its South End location. Employees announced in April they were launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to reopen its original location.
