This Boston seafood restaurant made Yelp’s best 100 in the country
Neptune Oyster is the only Massachusetts spot that made the list.
Yelp just released their Top 100 Places to Eat in 2016 list. Unlike last week, when OpenTable listed the top 100 most romantic restaurants in the country per diner data and seemed to forget Massachusetts exists, we made the cut this time (alas, with only one restaurant in all of Massachusetts).
Neptune Oyster, the notoriously hard-to-get-into but worth-the-wait seafood restaurant, clocked in at number 79. The North End spot is known for its Neptune Johnnycake (which comes with caviar), its raw bar, and its Maine lobster roll (available either hot with butter or cold with mayonnaise).
Yelp put together the list by choosing the spots that diners have ranked as “must try within this lifetime.’’ While it’s doubtful that this will make the often two-hour-long wait for dinner at Neptune Oyster any shorter, it’s always nice to see Boston restaurants that are deserving of accolades rack them up.
