Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks is set to open her second Boston restaurant this week
Tiger Mama will offer Southeast Asian fare.
Chef Tiffani Faison has won over the hearts and tastebuds of Boston with Fenway’s barbeque hotspot Sweet Cheeks Q. Her long-awaited second restaurant now is slated to open December 10, according to The Boston Globe.
Faison talked about her new Southeast Asian restaurant, Tiger Mama, as well as her trips East that inspired her to make the culinary jump, in a Q&A with the Globe.
“I let my hair down with Sweet Cheeks and threw a party,’’ Faison told the publication. “[With Tiger Mama], I’m aiming up a little bit more. It’s more formal, a little more grown-up.’’
Tiger Mama will offer 135 seats in Fenway. Faison is opening the restaurant alongside her wife, Kelly Walsh, and chef de cuisine Mike Stark (formerly of Toro and Coppa).
