Taco Bell is considering locations that serve alcohol in Boston
Two months after announcing their first alcohol-serving franchise in Chicago, Taco Bell is considering opening similar franchises in Boston, New York, and Columbus, Ohio, Bloomberg News reports.
The fast-food franchise’s Chicago location will serve sangria, tequila, and vodka, along with Dos Equis and New Belgium Brewing’s Fat Tire beer. Alcoholic beverages will only be available to customers eating inside the venue, according to Bloomberg News. The company already serves alcohol at their lone upscale experimental location, U.S. Taco Co., in Huntington Beach.
Taco Bell’s CEO Brian Niccol made the reasoning clear in June, when he told Fortune that “a lot of people like to have a beer with their taco.’’
