Here’s Every Trendy Restaurant Menu You’ve Ever Seen
Are you craving house-made pickles, moules frites, or “vaguely French’’ mac and cheese? Then you should try this hip new restaurant we just heard about.
Only problem is, it’s made up.
The foodie website Eater.com has created a mock menu for a stereotypically trendy restaurant, and it’s pretty spot-on. The menu pokes fun at restaurateurs’ tendency towards tiny portion sizes (“two bones with enough marrow to spread on a single piece of toast…$17’’) and the fetishization of artisanal snacks (“a dozen house-made potato chips,’’ “jerky for grown-ups’’).
The menu also includes those dishes that every restaurant seems to be trying to put a personal stamp on these days, from “an unconventional riff on Brussels sprouts’’ to “fussy fries’’ to a “burger that’s crazier than it needs to be.’’

Thanks, Eater. You’re right. Now let me order my ridiculously expensive truffle fries in peace.
