Angela’s Cafe

The East Boston Mexican restaurant will have special hours for the Cinco de Mayo weekend. Angela’s will be open from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, and 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on Monday, May 5.

The Beehive

The Beehive will be getting into the full Cinco de Mayo spirit with its annual celebration on Monday, May 5. The South End spot will be serving Mexican-inspired food specials created by chef Marc Orfaly as well as plenty of tequila cocktails, including the El Pequeno Buho ($12.50), the El Gusano Rojo with El Buho Mezcal ($12), and the Margarita Classico with Milagro Silver tequila ($12).
Telemundo star Veronica Robles and her mariachi band will also be making a special guest appearance on Cinco de Mayo and will be performing from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Cask ‘n Flagon

In addition to its regular menu, Cask ’n Flagon will be offering fish tacos for Cinco de Mayo, made of fried haddock, pico de gallo, lettuce, rice, guacamole, Granny Smith apples, black bean corn salsa, and topped with a chipotle cream sauce ($15).

The annual mustache-themed event will be held at the Hard Rock Cafe this year and will feature performances by Monkey Knife Fight, The Stone Frets, Maybrick, Taken, and Chariot Brigade. Tickets are $10 in advanced, $12 at the door, with all proceeds going to the MSPCA.

Emerald Lounge will be serving a Cinco de Mayo themed black rita cocktail (pictured), in addition to its regular food and cocktail menus. The special margarita consists of Patrón Reposado Tequila, triple sec, agave nectar, fresh lime juice, and blackberries ($13).

In addition to Cinco de Mayo, Fajitas & Ritas will also be celebrating its 25th anniversary by holding a block party from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. The event will take place on West Street, which will be closed down for the festivities, while the area around Fajitas & Ritas will designated a 21 and over only area. Emerson College’s WERS radio station will be broadcasting live from the block party, as bands Drunken Logic and As The Sparrow provide the tunes. Fajitas, margaritas, sangria, and beer will be available to purchase.

The Japanese eatery will be getting in on the Cinco de Mayo fun by offering a trio of fish tacos (pictured). The dish consists of tuna, salmon, and striped bass hard-shell tacos topped with tomato salsa, avocado, and an apple yuzu ceviche sauce ($12.75). Haru will also be offering a special green tea margarita, made with Patrón Silver tequila, Cointreau, sweet green tea powder, and sour mix ($13).

Howl at the Moon

Howl will be hosting its annual Drinko de Mayo celebration, which kicks off at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 5. Plenty of drink specials will be on hand, including an 86 ounce mega margarita bucket ($20), shots of Jose Cuervo, and Dos Equis beer.

Legal Harborside has a slew of offerings for Cinco de Mayo. The restaurant will be serving two different types of tacos, including braised BBQ short rib tacos ($14.95) and crispy fish tacos (pictured, $11.95). Legal Harborside will also have three special margaritas on hand, including one called La Bonita, made with Corazon Blanco, St. Germain, grapefruit juice, lime juice, Peychaud’s Bitters, and a lime wheel ($12).

Head to this South Boston eatery on Cinco de Mayo and try the baja fried fish tacos, made with guacamole, pickled cabbage, black beans and rice ($13.95). Legal Test Kitchen will also have a special Patrón margarita available, consisting of Patrón Reposado tequila, Patrón Citrónge, lime cordial, and fresh squeezed lemon juice ($12).

The Painted Burro

The Davis Square restaurant kicks off the festivities with sombrero brunches May 3 (11 a.m.-3 p.m.) and May 4 (10 a.m.-3 p.m.), where guests will receive a free iced coffee horchata if they wear their best Mexican headwear.
Diners on Sunday can also win a $25 gift card to The Painted Burro by playing a game of Loteria (a Mexican version of Bingo) in the bar area starting at 12:30 p.m.
On Monday, the restaurant will open an hour early at 4 p.m. to give guests more time to party.

Poe’s will be serving seven different types of tacos for Cinco de Mayo this year, including duck fat-infused antelope tacos ($13.95), Hudson Valley duck tacos (pictured, ($14.95), and spicy Cubano tacos ($12.95). The restaurant will also be offering a specially made margarita for the holiday, made with Herradura Reposado, Patrón Citrónge, fresh lime, three chile simple syrup, and sparkling water ($12).

Tryst has a special margarita and taco combination for Cinco de Mayo. Guests will receive a complimentary pork confit taco, topped with chili spiced pineapple and cabbage slaw, when they purchase a habanero lime rita, made with habanero lime infused tequila, Cointreau, and agave ($13).
The deal will only be available in Tryst’s bar & lounge area and dining room from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. on Monday, May 5.
