Gold Leaf-Topped Chicken Wing Created in Los Angeles for Sneaker Designer

Los Angeles diners had the chance to munch on gold leaf-topped flaps last night in honor of sneaker designer Jon Buscemi (of Buscemi) at The Golden State Cafe.

Buscemi posted an Instagram pic of the wings, part of a Golden State Cafe wing popup, late Monday night. The text alongside the pic reads, “The signature @_buscemihot wing. Free range chicken wing confit in duck fat, black truffle salt and Paolo Angeletti gold petals. From now til close at @goldenstatecafe #wingpopup.’’
Before creating his self-titled brand in 2013, Buscemi founded Gourmet with then-partner Greg Lucci in 2006.
