Boston has two of the most kid-friendly restaurants in the U.S., according to OpenTable
A Connecticut restaurant also made the list.
Parents seeking restaurants with a family-friendly vibe can book with confidence at two Boston spots, according to OpenTable.
The online reservation company recently released its list of 50 most kid-friendly restaurants in America for 2019, and two restaurant chains in Boston made the list: Fire + Ice in Back Bay and Maggiano’s Little Italy in the Theater District.
For Fire + Ice, only the restaurant’s Boston location made the list and for Maggiano’s, both the Boston and Bridgewater, N.J. locations were recognized. Fire + Ice, an interactive grill where guests create their own meal, hosts birthday parties, school groups, and a Monday night college night. Maggiano’s, which serves food family-style, hosts cooking classes and “little chef” birthday parties for kids.
“When you’re dining out with kids, you want to find a restaurant that has something for everyone — a menu that appeals to younger diners, great cocktail options for the adults and, of course, the ambiance to match,” said Caroline Potter, chief dining officer at OpenTable, in a press release. “Whether you’re a family of foodies celebrating something special or you’re avoiding doing dishes on a weeknight, these restaurants have a fun family-friendly vibe and fare that’ll hit the spot.”
The list was created after analyzing more than 12 million diner reviews of more than 30,000 U.S. restaurants collected between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019. The restaurants included for consideration had a minimum “overall” rating and number of qualifying reviews. The restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the amount of tags for which “kid-friendly” or “child-friendly” was selected as a special feature.
Sugar Factory’s location at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn. made the list was well.
