Watch this woman in labor dance the ‘Tootsee Roll’ at Brigham and Women’s

She’s on two missions: to deliver a baby and go viral.

Who said labor has to be, well … laborious?

Yuki Nishizawa shows the world you can dance the pain of childbirth away by doing the “Tootsee Roll,’’ a linedance to the popular 69 Boyz song, while in labor this week at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Connell Cloyd, a math specialist in Boston Public Schools, posted the video of his wife in labor on Facebook Tuesday, writing, “The buttafly … uhn uhn thats old! Let me see your tootsie roll!’’ with a link to the YouTube video.

Nishizawa is wearing an orange summer dress in the video and her dark hair is pulled up in a bun. She’s swinging her arms and knees back and forth while the song plays in the background. She looks downright joyful as she yells, mid-dance, “Woo!’’

“She still at it. 7 CM Dilated and still dancing!’’ her husband wrote on the YouTube post.

But there was a clear mission behind this linedancing labor: to go viral. And the couple made no bones about it.

Cloyd asked friends on his Facebook page to help him reach a million views. And, on the video, he is heard saying, “You’ve gotta be kidding me! I know I shouldn’t be laughing as her husband but she wanted to be famous so I guess this is how you do it, doing the ‘Tootsee Roll’ while you’re in labor.’’

Yes it is.

The video already has more than 3 million views and more than 41,000 shares on Facebook.

Baby Coji, a boy weighing 6 pounds, 15 ounces, arrived soon after, reports The Boston Globe.
