Nine months of pregnancy in 90 seconds
Look at that bump grow!
Ask any woman who’s had a baby if her nine months of pregnancy went by quickly, and she’ll probably tell you hell no.
That’s what makes this viral video about pregnancy so charming. It glosses over all the drawn-out messiness of pregnancy — the vomiting and heartburn and Braxton Hicks — and instead tells this baby’s birth story through his mom’s infectious smile and cute maternity wear.
New dad Byron Louie, 31, from California, took a picture of his pregnant wife Monique every day of her pregnancy while standing in the same spot. Then he created a 90-second-time-lapse video showing her belly grow — and the baby’s nursery come to life.
“When I found out my wife was pregnant, I thought it would be a great opportunity to capture her growth via photography, but what I really started to notice was how things started to change around me,’’ Louie wrote when posting the video.
Adding to the video’s appeal is the fact that the family’s fur babies, dogs Dunder and Munster, nearly steal the show with their intense curiousity about the whole event.
Louie took nearly 300 photos total, according to ABC News. The video has been viewed more than 4.3 million times since it was posted May 31.
Weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces, baby Dylan was born at the end of May. Will his parents have time to plot their next viral takeover? If so, our vote is for a spinoff featuring big brothers Dunder and Munster.
