Wicked Cyclone Coaster to Debut at Six Flags New England in 2015
We have excellent news for New England thrill seekers.
Six Flags New England has announced it will debut a new rollercoaster in 2015 — the Wicked Cyclone.
The rollercoaster will be the East Coast’s first hybrid rollercoaster. The park is bringing back its Cyclone, a classic wooden coaster, but with a state-of-the-art steel track upon its wooden base.
The Wicked Cyclone will be comprised of 3,320 feet of track and take riders on a 109-foot climb, after which they will experience a 55-mile-per-hour plunge. While dropping, riders will feel a sensation of weightlessness from new ride, billed to deliver more airtime than any other coaster across New England. It will also be the first coaster to have a “200-degree stall and two twisting Zero G Rolls,’’ according to Six Flags. That’s coaster-speak for holy shit!
