Rhode Island’s Gotta Q Up For Best BBQ Food Truck of the Year
Mobile Cuisine, an online trade magazine for the mobile food industry, has launched a contest to determine the best BBQ truck in the land and Rhode Island’s Gotta Q is in the running.
Readers and folks from the industry submitted nearly 2,000 entries for the 2014 Food Truck BBQ Of The Year contest. The contest has been narrowed down to 15 BBQ food trucks from around the country and Gotta Q is the only New England contender. The entries were evaluated by Mobile Cuisine, which whittled the list down to 15. To be eligible, the trucks had to have opened before 2014, must regularly serve BBQ, and serve the local community on a regular basis.
Readers can vote until July 4 at midnight for their favorite BBQ food truck. As of this writing, Gotta Q is in eighth place with 169 out of 2,880 votes. And boy are they pumped, judging from the truck’s social media accounts.
