Sterling Ridge Resort, Jeffersonville, Vt.
The log cabins at Sterling Ridge mix the rustic style of porches and wood burning stoves with modern features – such as cable and full kitchens. The Belfry Inne & Bistro, Sandwich
For a romantic Cape Cod getaway, the “Be Mine’’ Valentine’s package is available at the Belfry on Feb. 14—with a variation of the package, “Be Mine’’ Anytime, offered year-round—complete with dinner for two at the Belfry Bistro, full breakfast, and chocolate strawberries and champagne upon arrival. The inn features rooms in the Victorian-style Painted Lady house, the Federal-style village house, and the Abbey rooms – built into a structure that was once a Catholic church, with the bistro on the first floor. The Inn at Ellis River, Jackson, N.H.
The Valentine’s Special at The Inn at Ellis River runs through the middle of January to the early March this year. It includes two nights in one of their 20 rooms, a candlelit dinner for two at an area restaurant, champagne or sparkling cider, and a long stem rose. On weekends, an additional fee will provide you and your sweetheart with a romantic winter sleigh ride. Highlights of the inn are it’s pub, game room, and enclosed hot tub overlooking the river. Valentine’s package starts at $399.

Captain Fairfield Inn, Kennebunkport, Maine
Set just one block away from downtown Kennebunkport, Maine, this boutique-style inn boasts a blend of historical charm and modern amenities. The 1813 Federal-style mansion is completely renovated with rich colors, new furnishings, and top-of-the-line appliances including iPad2s and Apple televisions in each of the nine rooms.
