Looking to treat your loved one with a night or two away from home this Valentine’s Day? Here are some New England inns, hotels, and B&Bs with holiday deals that are perfect for a romantic getaway.

Chesterfield Inn, Chesterfield, N.H.

Overlooking the Connecticut River Valley, the Chesterfield Inn offers an elegant, relaxing experience with romantic gardens, beautiful views, and luxurious Jacuzzi baths. They offer a variety of packages for Valentine’s Day. The Date Your Mate Package includes champagne, dinner for two, and breakfast in bed. Romance in New Hampshire offers champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, a three-course dinner for two, and a full country breakfast. For those who want a little pampering, the Couples Massage Package includes two in-room, 60-minute, full-body massages and a full country breakfast each morning. Rates start at $145 plus the cost of the room.

Castle Hill Inn, Newport, R.I.

A Newport landmark with a mansion and lighthouse on its grounds, Castle Hill Inn offers accommodations right by the sea. You and your loved one can experience Valentine’s Day through wintry seaside living. Highlights include dining on local and seasonal favorites with live jazz, a variety of different spa services, and several lodging options. Special deals include the Winter Wonder Package, starting at $786 midweek or $929 weekend, with a three-course dinner, daily gourmet breakfast and afternoon tea, Artisan cheese and Merlot, and tickets to see the Newport mansions.

Sterling Ridge Resort, Jeffersonville, Vt.

The log cabins at Sterling Ridge mix the rustic style of porches and wood burning stoves with modern features – such as cable and full kitchens. Couples can take guided snowmobile tours provided by the resort, or explore the 360 acres themselves with snowshoes for a real outdoor experience. Sterling Ridge is located near Smuggler’s Notch and Stowe, for those interested in taking in a couple of runs in between the romance. The Carriage House Inn, Chatham

This package has as much to do with the town of Chatham as with the inn itself. The Bed & Breakfast, which offers spacious grounds and private fireplaces, is less than one mile from the shops, galleries and other attractions of downtown Chatham. As part of the two-night stay, coupons and gift bags provided by local vendors are included along with a daily gourmet breakfast. Starting at $328 plus tax.

The Belfry Inne & Bistro, Sandwich

For a romantic Cape Cod getaway, the “Be Mine’’ Valentine’s package is available at the Belfry on Feb. 14—with a variation of the package, “Be Mine’’ Anytime, offered year-round—complete with dinner for two at the Belfry Bistro, full breakfast, and chocolate strawberries and champagne upon arrival. The inn features rooms in the Victorian-style Painted Lady house, the Federal-style village house, and the Abbey rooms – built into a structure that was once a Catholic church, with the bistro on the first floor. Rates start at $287 per night, with the option to expand your stay for $179 per night ($215 for Abbey and $189 for Painted Lady with the Anytime package).

Ashley Manor, Barnstable

A smaller but no less cozy inn, each of Ashley Manor’s six suites has a fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, and Wi-Fi – despite the building being over 300 years old. The grounds include a tennis court, woods, and a library. For an added $225 to a reservation, the Romance and Honeymoon package (available all year, not just Valentine’s Day) includes chilled champagne, choice of chocolate or wine and cheese gift basket, a Jacuzzi goodie bag, a dinner voucher to one of many local restaurants of your choice, and a three-course gourmet breakfast. Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, Old Saybrook, Conn.

Overlooking Long Island Sound at the mouth of the Connecticut River, Saybrook has offered romance on the coast for over 130 years. Guests can experience seaside getaways, taking a short walk to beaches, seaside villages, and the Saybrook Point Marina. Dine on local seafood at Fresh Salt, the inn’s restaurant, or enjoy their spa and health club. Their two-night Valentine’s Keepsake Package, available Feb 13-22, gourment chocolates, wine and keepsake flutes, and a $100 dinner voucher and full breakfast at Fresh Salt. The Inn at Ellis River, Jackson, N.H.

The Valentine’s Special at The Inn at Ellis River runs through the middle of January to the early March this year. It includes two nights in one of their 20 rooms, a candlelit dinner for two at an area restaurant, champagne or sparkling cider, and a long stem rose. On weekends, an additional fee will provide you and your sweetheart with a romantic winter sleigh ride. Highlights of the inn are it’s pub, game room, and enclosed hot tub overlooking the river. Valentine’s package starts at $399.

Captain Fairfield Inn, Kennebunkport, Maine

Set just one block away from downtown Kennebunkport, Maine, this boutique-style inn boasts a blend of historical charm and modern amenities. The 1813 Federal-style mansion is completely renovated with rich colors, new furnishings, and top-of-the-line appliances including iPad2s and Apple televisions in each of the nine rooms. A multi-course breakfast and afternoon tea and cookies are included, all made from locally sourced, Maine ingredients. They also offer wine and small plates. Three Mountain Inn, Jamaica, Vt.
