Cohos Trail

The guidebook and maps are available on the website as a package for $22 including

shipping.

Where to stay

The Cohos Trail’s three lean-tos are free and open to the public:

■ Old Hermit Shelter
, off the Sugarloaf Arm Trail in Nash Stream Forest — beautifully handcrafted lean-to.

■ Baldhead Shelter
, off the Gadwah Notch Trail in Nash Stream Forest — fantastic view.

■ Panorama Shelter
, on the Mount Sanguinary on the Summit Ridge Trail near Dixville Notch — more views.

In addition to the lean-tos, there are a number of tent sites along the trail, and campgrounds both public and private.

The Cohos Trail Association also maintains a list on their website of inns, cabins, and lodges for those looking for less rustic

accommodations at a wide range of prices.
