Cyndi Lauper announces farewell tour, including Boston concert

Cyndi Lauper will celebrate her four-decade career with a farewell tour this fall, including a Boston concert at MGM Music Hall on October 26

Time after time, Cyndi Lauper has delighted concertgoers with her music. But after more than four decades, the singer is saying goodbye with a final farewell tour, which includes a date this fall in Boston.

Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour will visit 23 cities in North America in 2024, marking the singer’s first major tour since 2018. The tour kicks off October 18 in Montreal, soon followed by a show in Boston on Saturday, October 26, at MGM Music Hall.

Lauper’s farewell tour announcement comes on the heels of a new greatest hits album, “Let the Canary Sing,” which was released by Legacy Recordings on May 31. Additionally, a Lauper documentary of the same name will begin streaming on Paramount+ starting June 4.

Cyndi Lauper Concert Tickets

Tickets for Cyndi Lauper’s Boston concert at MGM Music Hall will be available to the general public via Ticketmaster on Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. Before then, a number of different pre-sales will offer fans the opportunity to buy tickets.

The first pre-sales on the list are the Cyndi Lauper artist pre-sale and VIP package pre-sale (Tuesday, June 4 at 10 a.m.), followed by the Ticketmaster and Live Nation pre-sales (Wednesday, June 5 at 10 a.m.), and the Spotify and Citizens Bank pre-sales (Thursday, June 6 at 10 a.m.).
