In an effort to provide some virtual entertainment during the coronavirus pandemic, Boston.com is teaming up with Berklee College of Music student concert producer Victoria Verba to bring readers livestream performances from artists spanning genres including jazz, R&B, pop, and more. The performances take place on Boston.com’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and readers can vote for artists to cover a song before the livestream.
Mar Fayos, a jazz fusion vocalist and composer from Barcelona, is the next performer in Boston.com’s livestream concert series with Berklee College of Music. She’ll perform on our social media pages Thursday starting at 5 p.m.
Fayos is an active touring artist who performed over a hundred times last year, and she’s currently working on her first EP with her band Mar Fayos Project. She graduated summa cum laude from Berklee in 2018 and will return to the college for a master’s degree in the fall. Fayos is an artist-in-residence at Berklee and adjunct faculty of voice at Bunker Hill Community College.
The artist will perform a short set live on Instagram at 5 p.m. and Facebook at 5:30 p.m. EDT on Thursday. Submit your vote for what song Fayos should perform live in the poll below.
