Livestream: Berklee musician Ella-Jane Sharpe will perform on Boston.com Thursday

The Boston music scene looks a lot different these days due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that’s not stopping local musicians.
In an effort to provide some virtual entertainment, Boston.com teamed up with Berklee College of Music student concert producer Victoria Verba to bring readers livestream performances from artists spanning genres including jazz, R&B, pop, and more.
Starting Thursday at 5 p.m., Ella-Jane Sharpe, a British-Australian jazz and R&B artist based in Boston, will kick off a live performance with her mellow vocals from Boston.com’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Sharpe, who is set to release original music this year across major streaming platforms, brings a deep love and appreciation for traditional jazz artists and a passion for neo-soul and R&B. She believes music can be a powerful tool that gives voice to those who are not able to speak for themselves. The singer-songwriter will perform a short set, including the top reader-recommended song. (Should she sing a Stevie Wonder hit or a Billie Eilish ballad?)
