A few members of The Dropkick Murphys shipped up to Quincy on Wednesday for a private concert.

Tim Brennan and Ken Casey put on a show outside the window of Quinn Waters, a 3-year-old boy isolated in his home due to brain cancer, according to his Facebook page The Mighty Quinn. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February.

The band played a few songs, including their hit “I’m Shipping Up to Boston,” during which Casey entertained the excited young listener with a shark puppet.

Quinn was also able crack some jokes with the band members, such as “Guess what? Chicken butt.”

“A few of the guys were able to sneak over and play some songs for an awesome little fella named Quinn yesterday,” the band wrote on Instagram. “Quinn has a wonderful family and they are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

Quinn, who donned a green Dropkick Murphys shirt during the encounter, was also presented with a black band shirt emblazoned with “The Mighty Quinn” across the back.
