Grab tickets to these 5 concerts before they sell out

Noel Gallagher. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Few things are more frustrating to a music fan than hearing that a favorite band is coming to town, only to find out that the show is sold out. We’re here to help you avoid that pitfall — and the overpriced secondary ticket market — by consulting local experts Christine Varriale of Bowery Presents, and Bridget Gillis and Lisa Vassallo of Live Nation. Below, check out a half-dozen shows we’ve heard are dangerously low on tickets.

Dream Theater
Take a look at the seating chart and you’ll see that, if you’re looking to see these prog-metal stalwarts, you’ll have to grab one of the quickly-disappearing balcony seats. (Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m.; Orpheum Theatre; $33; tickets available here)

The Frights
The last time these San Diego surf-punks were in town, they filled Bill’s Bar for one of our free shows. That’s evidence enough for us to think they’ll sell out The Sinclair. (Monday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m.; The Sinclair; $13; with Vundabar, hockey dad; tickets available here)

The Barr Brothers
Varriale suggested copping your tickets to see these Montreal folksters sooner than later, as the show is on track to sell out soon. (Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m.; The Sinclair; $20; with Shannon Lay; tickets available here)

Chase Rice
Just a handful of standing room only tickets are scattered across the mezzanine for when this country star comes to Boston early next year. (Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 at 7 p.m.; House of Blues; $25; tickets available here)

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds
Ask RadioBDC’s program director (and resident Oasis superfan) Paul Driscoll: When anything Gallagher-related comes to Boston, it sells out. So grab a pair of tickets to Noel; Driscoll already has his. (Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.; Boston Opera House; $33; tickets available here)
