U2 will play every single song from ‘The Joshua Tree’ at Gillette Stadium this summer
It's been 30 years since the band released the album.
With or without you, Irish rock band U2 will jam to every classic song from their 1987 album “The Joshua Tree” during an anniversary tour that will make a stop at Gillette Stadium this summer.
“The Joshua Tree Tour 2017” marks the 30th anniversary of The Joshua Tree, the band’s fifth studio album. Bono and company will take the stage at Gillette on June 25 with special guests The Lumineers. U2 last played the Foxborough stadium in 2009.

“Recently I listened back to The Joshua Tree for the first time in nearly 30 years,” Bono said in a statement on the band’s website. “It’s quite an opera. A lot of emotions which feel strangely current, love, loss, broken dreams, seeking oblivion, polarisation … all the greats … I’ve sung some of these songs a lot … but never all of them. I’m up for it, if our audience is as excited as we are … it’s gonna be a great night.”
The tour kicks off May 12 in Vancouver, heads to Europe in July, and wraps up Aug. 1 in Brussels. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m.
