Coldplay is coming back to Boston next summer.

The hugely popular British pop band last filled Gillette Stadium on July 30. On Friday they announced a 2017 run for their “A Head Full Of Dreams Tour,” which includes an August 4 stop at Gillette.

Tickets for the 2017 show go on sale on Saturday at 10 a.m.

In its review of Coldplay’s July show, The Boston Globe said the band “traffic[ed] in earnestness without ingratiation, self-awareness without self-consciousness, and – in the case of frontman Chris Martin – the grandiosity of Bono, minus the messiah complex.”

The tour dates announced Friday include stops all over the U.S., as well as three in Canada.
