Puff Daddy bringing Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour to Boston

It’s Bad Boy 4 Life, after all.

In 1993, Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs created a record label to showcase some of the East Coast’s best hip-hop and R&B talent. More than two decades, several platinum albums, and way too many Combs nickname changes later, Bad Boy is getting the family back together and hitting the road.

On September 24, The Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour will stop at TD Garden and will feature performances from Puff Daddy, Lil’ Kim, the Lox, Mase, Faith Evans, Mario Winans, 112, Total, Carl Thomas and French Montana.

The tour spurred from a two-night Bad Boy weekend that takes place May 20 and 21 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to celebrate what would have been The Notorious B.I.G.’s 44th birthday.

Puff Daddy and family will trek across 25 cities throughout the summer. Notable Bad Boy omissions from the lineup include Craig Mack, whose 1993 hit “Flava In Ya Ear” was the first single on the label; Da Band, a hip-hop group assembled through MTV’s Making The Band reality show; Shyne, a Flatbush lyricist who served nine years in prison for a shooting incident that also involved Puff Daddy and his then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez; and of course, The Notorious B.I.G., who was killed in 1997 after a short but illustrious rap career.

Tickets for the TD Garden show go on sale Friday, May 20 via Ticketmaster.
