Blink-182 is playing in Massachusetts for the first time since 2011
The band announced a tour with a new lineup to promote a new album.
Nineties pop-punk kings Blink-182 have announced a tour and will play a Massachusetts show for the first time since 2011.
The 45-date summer and fall tour will make a stop at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on August 19 and will feature opening sets from Florida rockers A Day to Remember and Maryland pop-punk quartet All Time Low.
This will be Blink-182’s first local show since the departure of guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge. DeLonge left the band last year and was replaced by Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio. The new lineup released its first single this week, called “Bored to Death,” and will release a new album, California, on July 1.
Tickets for the Mansfield show go on sale Friday, May 6 at noon via Ticketmaster.
[Correction: This article originally stated that Blink-182’s last local show was in 2009. The band played the Comcast Center in Mansfield in 2011 as part of a co-headlining tour with My Chemical Romance.]
