Award season is just around the corner, folks, and the first batch of big-time nominations is in. Singer/songwriter Alicia Keys appeared on CBS This Morning to announce those nominated in the top categories for the 58th Annual Grammys: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist.
As for folks repping New England? Nantucket native Meghan Trainor is nominated for Best New Artist, Berklee grad Charlie Puth is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Boston-born James Taylor is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, former Berklee student Anna Wise was nominated with Kendrick Lamar for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Burlington native Amy Poehler was nominated for Best Spoken Word Album, and Louis CK was nominated for Best Comedy Album.
The Grammys air February 15, 2016 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
