He’ll take the stage in front of the Green Monster next August.

After the uber-success of his sold-out, one-night stint with Bonnie Raitt last summer, Massachusetts music legacy James Taylor is returning with his All-Star Band to Fenway Park next August.

He announced last week that he’ll back to take the stage with Jackson Browne at the Red Sox’s stomping ground on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. Tickets to the show went on sale this morning at 10 a.m., and though they’re going quick, seats are still up for grabs on redsox.com.

Fenway Park usually hosts a handful of headliners in the summertime — this year was a record batch of four with Taylor, Billy Joel, Foo Fighters, and Zac Brown Band. Taylor’s 2016 show is the first Fenway show announced next for summer.

“This is not a bad place to play music, it turns out,’’ he joked to the packed venue back in August. Indeed, it’s not. So grab your tickets while you still can.
