Casey Affleck, Dropkick Murphys Join Boston Pops for ‘Company Christmas’

Casey Affleck took a break from Hollywood and returned to his Boston-area roots on Wednesday night.

The “Gone Baby Gone’’ actor joined the Boston Pops for “A Company Christmas at Pops’’ at Symphony Hall Dec. 10, where he narrated “’Twas the Night Before Christmas’’ alongside Pops conductor Keith Lockhart.

Surprise guests Dropkick Murphys performed their holiday track “The Season’s Upon Us,’’ governor-elect Charlie Baker partook in the holiday festivities by conducting “Sleigh Ride,’’ and singer Michael Feinstein serenaded the crowd with several festive tracks.

The Pops holiday schedule kicked off Dec. 3 and includes 36 concerts at Symphony Hall.
