Ben Affleck’s comeback has been delayed.

That is, the comeback of his character in “The Way Back,” which Deadline reports has been postponed from an Oct. 18 to March 6, 2020 release.

The Warner Bros. project, formerly titled “Torrance,” stars Affleck as an ex-basketball star currently struggling with addiction. In an attempt at redemption, his character becomes the coach of the high school basketball team at his alma mater.

According to Deadline, the Gavin O’Connor-directed film has received “solid” test results. Its new late winter release date will hit just before the NCAA’s March Madness and during the NBA season.
