Keeping with Hollywood’s recent interest in Boston area crimes, yet another infamous story is making its way to the silver screen.Barry L. Levy is slated to direct a new movie about the Boston Strangler titled Stranglehold, Variety reports. It will focus on the task force assembled to find the person who was thought to have killed 13 women between 1962 and 1964. “

What no one could have predicted was that this group, led by a disgraced Boston Police Detective and a Hollywood psychic, would unearth an even more heinous crime,” Variety writes of the movie’s plot.

In Boston, the murders remained unsolved until Albert DeSalvo confessed while in jail for another crime. Serious doubts about DeSalvo’s guilt continued to bubble until DNA connected him to the final murder in 2013.

Levy’s new undertaking will be the first to focus on the task force.
