You can watch over 11 consecutive hours of Captain America movies in Boston this week
The marathon ends with a screening of the franchise's newest film.
A 691-minute Captain America movie marathon will screen at AMC Loews Boston Common this Thursday, if you have the time, desire, and willpower to do that sort of thing.
As a means of promoting Captain America: Civil War, the newest movie in the Marvel film franchise, five theaters nationwide will screen an all-day Cap movie marathon. According to Entertainment Weekly, those who sit through nearly 12 hours of the superhero movies—including the one slotted to premiere on Friday—will receive a medal. And, ostensibly, pride and bragging rights.
The Captain America Marathon, which stars Boston-born actor Chris Evans, is not the first Marvel movie sprint. According to EW, a similar promotion happened last year, when some theaters screened 11 films leading up to the premiere of The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Tickets for the movie marathon, which starts at 7 a.m., are $47.99, and can be purchased on Fandango.
