“They were tough to say no to.’’

Unlike you, Bill Murray was not convinced about participating in this all-female Ghostbusters reboot. For a long time, he was like nah, even when it came down to reprising his role as Peter in the original franchise. But as we already know, Murray shot a cameo in the movie reboot in Boston this summer, so obviously something must’ve changed.

As it turns out, his decision came from the new Ghostbusters leading ladies who just, well, asked politely.

“I like those girls a lot,’’ Murray told Vulture about Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy. “I mean, I really do. They are tough to say no to.’’

He also said he thought about reprising his role for a long time, and landing on his decision didn’t come easy.

“I started to feel like if I didn’t do this movie, maybe somebody would write a bad review or something, thinking there was some sort of disapproval [on my part],’’ he also told Vulture.

Bill Murray, a professional at hard-to-get.

Ghostbusters hits theaters July 2016.
