The trailer for Disney’s latest action-thriller The Finest Hours, released Wednesday, delves into inevitable disasters not limited to extremely unfortunate New England weather. Large boats and Boston accents are also subject to catastrophe and turmoil.
The Finest Hours, which was shooting in Massachusetts last fall, is Disney’s next “fully-immersive cinematic experience on an epic scale.’’ Mass.-bred Casey Affleck, Chris Pine and Eric Bana pummel through the true story about an attempted Coast Gaurd rescue off the cost of Cape Cod during a 1952 nor’easter.
The film has a release date for January 2016.
