Watch Robin Williams in the emotional trailer for his final film, ‘Boulevard’
“Are you happy?’’
That’s a question asked of Robin Williams in the trailer for his final film Boulevard. It’s clear that he’s not.
“Nothing turned out the way I thought, I guess.’’
The Boulevard trailer is a chilling, powerful display of Williams’s superb acting and a heart-wrenching reminder of the tragedy that took those skills from the world. Williams plays Nolan Mack, a depressed man coming to terms with his sexuality who realizes, as he’s reaching 60, that he’s never really lived.
Sitting across from his friend Winston (played by Bob Odenkirk) with a black eye, we see Mack smile for the first time.
“Maybe it’s never too late to finally start living the life you really want,’’ Winston says.
It would be a heartwarming story on its own, but contrasted with the knowledge that Williams never did get to “make a u-turn’’ in his life, it becomes a captivating account of hope and hopelessness.
Boulevard is set to get a limited release on July 10.
