Universal announce that the sequel will hit theaters in the heart of summer
Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are set to return for “Pitch Perfect 3,’’ which the studio announced it will release on July 21, 2017.

“Pitch Perfect 2’’ boasts the highest-grossing movie musical opening of all time, and its follow-up will be produced by series fixtures Paul Brooks of Gold Circle Entertainment and Max Handelman and Elizabeth Banks of Brownstone Productions.
Kendrick confirmed the news on Twitter, showing her own excitement regarding the announcement.
