Bill Murray Joins Live-Action ‘Jungle Book’ Cast
“The Bare Necessities’’ could get the Bill Murray treatment next year.
The “Moonrise Kingdom’’ actor is the will voice Baloo, Mowgli’s beloved bear pal, in Disney’s live-action production of “The Jungle Book.’’
The news follows last week’s announcement that Christopher Walken will voice the orangutan King Louie and Giancarlo Esposito will voice the gray wolf, Akela. Other cast members include Scarlett Johansson (Kaa), Lupita Nyong’o (Rakcha), and Ben Kingsley (Bagheera).
Fans of “The Jungle Book’’ will have to wait until Oct. 9, 2015 for the hybrid live-action film.
