Help Us Cast the #MarketBasket Movie

Could “Save Market Basket’’ be 2015’s big blockbuster? We can see it now: bright lights, big screen, a coupl’a Demoulas.

The “release’’ of a movie trailer for the dreamed-up film “Save Market Basket’’ inspired the Boston.com team to contemplate casting for the could-be drama telling the Demoulas’ tale.

If we had an unlimited budget and a killer script, the credits would begin like this:

[fragment number=0]

Arthur T. Demoulas: the recently ousted CEO of Market Basket whose employees are rallying for his reinstatement

Played by: Ralph Fiennes (powerful yet approachable — and physically balding like Arthur T.)

[fragment number=1]

Arthur S. Demoulas: The cousin of Arthur T. who has been warring with the former CEO for decades, seeking control of the company

Played by: Alan Rickman (admit it, he looks just like Arthur S. — and because… SNAPE)

[fragment number=2]

James Gooch: One of the newly minted co-CEOs of Market Basket who took over when Arthur T. was fired

Played by: Matthew McConaughey (this power role is exactly what the McConaissance is missing)

[fragment number=3]

Felicia Thornton: The second of the two new co-CEOs of Market Basket

Played by: Sandra Bullock (hello, boss lady — need we say more?)
