‘Ted 2’ To Film in Boston, Ipswich This Summer
Does Mark Wahlberg ever get a day off?
The Dorchester actor who was recently in town to promote “Transformers: Age of Extinction’’ will be back in the Bay State to begin filming “Ted 2’’ this month.
OnLocationVacations.com is reporting that a production office has been set up in Boston and that the follow-up to the 2012 film will begin shooting in the city on July 21.
The post also includes a photo of a barn that is being built at Appleton Farms in Ipswich specifically for the sequel. Scenes from the movie will be filmed at the farm for two weeks beginning Aug. 20.
Wahlberg talked briefly with Boston.com on June 27 about the new movie, saying “We start shooting next month and I’m looking forward to being back here.’’
“Ted 2,’’ the sequel to Seth MacFarlane’s 2012 comedy “Ted,’’ will feature Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried. The first film, which starred Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, racked up more than $50 million in its opening weekend.
