‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Cast Revealed
In a super short, straight-to-the-point post, the team behind “Star Wars VII’’ revealed the upcoming film’s cast on its website today.
Franchise veterans Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill (who were spotted together in London this weekend), Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker are officially returning, and the cast will be rounded out by new faces John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.
There’s no word yet on who the new actors will portray.
“We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII,’’ the film’s director J.J. Abrams said in the statement. “It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.’’
“Star Wars VII’’ is set to open worldwide on Dec. 18, 2015.
