Amy Poehler

is raging, and thriving.

The Burlington native spoke to The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the premiere of her feature film directorial debut, “Wine Country,’’ which lands on Netflix on May 10. Poehler spent a lot of the interview discussing her concern with the political climate.

“Women have been rightly and righteously furious about this administration and have been working together and bonding together just in an attempt to make sense of it all,’’ Poehler told the publication. “Every woman I know has a text chain, every morning we just say, ‘Can you believe this? Can we break this down together so I don’t lose my mind? Anybody out there?’ Because it’s really crazy-making.’’

A Hillary Clinton supporter in 2016, Poehler has always been very public about her political views. Lately, she told THR, “it’s really hard to not have a full-on panic attack every day.’’

“It’s why people are self-medicating,’’ Poehler joked. “It’s why people need to watch this movie in their house with a trash barrel full of wine!’’
