New Kid Jonathan Knight heads to HGTV with a new pilot
There’s a new kid on HGTV.

Singer Jonathan Knight of New Kids on the Block
Jonathan Knight, best known as a member of New Kids on the Block, is trying out a solo act — but it’s not what you might think. The singer will star in a new HGTV pilot, “Farmhouse Fixer,’’ scheduled to air in 2019, according to a release.
In the first episode, Knight will work on an old New England farmhouse, maintaining the “historic charm’’ while updating the place with modern amenities.
“Old farmhouses are American treasures,’’ Knight said in a statement. “Most have been in the same family for 200 years and have never been renovated. And they’re disappearing fast. If we don’t save them, they’re going to be gone.’’
Since his early days in NKOTB, Knight has reportedly renovated over 200 houses. No word yet on whether his bandmates — Donnie Wahlberg, Joey IcIntyre, Danny Wood, and brother Jordan Knight — will make an appearance in the pilot. Earlier this month, the band announced it will embark on a 2019 MixTape Tour to 53 cities in North America next summer.
