Al Roker loves breakfast — in Massachusetts
The “Today’’ show’s Al Roker just dished to People magazine about his favorite breakfasts from around the country, and two Massachusetts restaurants made his list.
The morning show host said he loves the cinnamon cranberry French toast from Henrietta’s Table in the Charles Hotel in Cambridge. He told People that the farm-to-table menu from the Charles Hotel’s restaurant is “in a league of its own.’’
That’s not his only haunt. Roker like his eggs over easy, and from No. Six Depot in West Stockbridge.
“They make the perfect over-easy eggs and cold brew,’’ Roker said of the small-batch coffee roastery, café, and art gallery in the Berkshires.
On a “Today’’ show food segment with People’s food and lifestyle director Sonal Dutt, Roker selected three of his favorite restaurants from across the nation to share with the NBC audience, and Henrietta’s Table was among them. He told Dutt and Carson Daly that the Harvard Square spot is a “fantastic place.’’ Pointing to a plate of the aforementioned cinnamon cranberry French toast, he called the breakfast “unbelievable.’’
