Cape Cod is the sixth most expensive place in the country to get married, according to The Knot

Couples dreaming of a Cape Cod wedding might want to take another look at the price tag. The popular summer destination is the sixth most expensive place in the country to get married, according to The Knot.A wedding on the Cape cost an average of $58,608 in 2016, falling in line behind Chicago ($60,035), North/Central New Jersey ($62,606), Long Island ($67,831), and Manhattan ($78,464). The numbers come from The Knot’s 10th annual survey, which polled nearly 13,000 brides and grooms who said ‘I do’ last year. Overall, the survey found the national average increased to $35,329 — excluding the honeymoon — from $32,641 in 2015.Cape Cod isn’t the only part of New England represented on the list of the 25 most expensive wedding spots. Rhode Island clocked in at No. 8 with an average price of  $52,328, and Boston ranked 14th most expensive with an average cost of $44,028.
