This ‘Cats and Tats’ calendar raises money for a New Hampshire animal shelter
The purrfect gift for any animal lover on your list.
If you’re still looking for a last-minute holiday gift for someone on your list who likes cats, guys with tattoos, or a combination of both, you’re in luck.
As first reported by NECN, the Monadnock Kitty Rescue and Adoption in Jaffrey, New Hampshire decided to sell a “Cats and Tats’’ calendar to raise funds for a new facility after finding out their landlord would not be renewing the shelter’s lease for 2016. The calendar features 12 photos of inked-up friends of the shelter snuggling with some of its feline residents.
According to President Helen Bourgeois, the nonprofit Kitty Rescue has saved thousands of stray, abandoned, and feral cats and kittens over the last 13 years. As a nonprofit, they run exclusively on donations, and Bourgeois estimates that they have raised $70,000 of the $125,000 needed to secure a new building.
If you’re not interested in a calendar, which retails for $17.95, you can also donate to the shelter by calling (603) 532-9444 or sending a donation to:
Monadnock Kitty Rescue and Adoption, P.O. Box 468, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
