Farmer Brings His Cows Home with Lorde

When Kansas farmer Derek Klingenberg needed to get his cows to return home, he followed in the footsteps of all agricultural greats before him and whipped out his trombone to play a rousing rendition of Lorde’s hit single, “Royals.’’

What starts as a man, his trombone, and a lawn chair in a picturesque Kansas plain, soon becomes the journey of happy cows, flooding the field, wagging their tails and moo-ing along to the New Zealand teen’s catchy tune.

The video is quick — just about four minutes — but we’ve learned a lot. Here’s what we can  surmise:

1. Cows love Lorde.

2. “Royals’’ translates pretty well on trombone.

3. It doesn’t seem all that difficult to summon a herd of cattle.
