Queen Photobombs Australian Hockey Player’s Selfie
Australian field hockey player Jayde Taylor took the selfie of a lifetime thanks to an inadvertent photobomb by Queen Elizabeth.
Taylor and her teammate snapped the photo before the opening match of the Commonweath Games at Scotland’s Glasgow National Hockey Centre on July 24.

The British monarch proved to be good luck for the Australian team. The Hockeyroos went on to beat team Malaysia 4-0.
Beside the royal photobomb, the match was a relatively somber affair as players wore black arm bands in honor of the 298 people who died in last week’s Malaysia Airlines tragedy. A moment of silence was observed prior to the start of the contest.
