NYIGF: What I Wanted to Buy and Leave With, Immediately
Weaving my way through Pier 94 yesterday at the New York International Gift Fair was definitely one of the more overwhelming — and truly amazing — days spent. Lacquered tables on the left, oversize vases on the right, couches ahead, artwork behind. And while I was surrounded in products worth stopping for, a few had me lingering, wishing, and hoping (which I am now sharing). One great example: these Michelle Hatch pillows (above), accentuated with metal nailheads, Swarovski elements, and vintage ribbons.

I want one of those giant letters (“D” please) from T. Lockman for my wall. Who can resist such creative possibilities.

This whimsical cake stand from Red Egg is worth learning to bake for. Plus, what a fantastic color. I can just picture a devils food cake sitting atop it. Yum.

… Yes, a backgammon table! In high gloss, too. And Oomph offers it in custom colors.

Love the product, LOVE the instillation. I can see these Wall Dots by Chive pretty much anywhere — like in the kitchen, holding herbs.

I gravitated toward this whale from HomArt. Cape and Islands, enough said.
