This Vineyard-founded clothing brand is partnering with Target
Founded on Martha’s Vineyard, the company's collaboration with Target is "designed to celebrate the ultimate summer gathering."
Target is getting ready to show off its preppy side. Last week, the Minneapolis-based retail giant announced a collaboration with Vineyard Vines.
The collection, designed with “the ultimate summer gathering” in mind, will include more than 300 items ranging from home and outdoor goods to items for pets to apparel, accessories, and swimwear for the family. Products will range in price between $2 and $120, but most will retail for less than $35.
“Vineyard vines is a brand that our guests know and love, and one that exemplifies our shared sense of optimism and joy through their use of bold colors and prints,” Mark Tritton, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of Target, said in a press release. “We worked closely with the Vineyard Vines team to create a collection of well-designed, affordable items that are meant to bring people together, whether it’s for a shared meal with friends or a family trip to the beach. Launching just as summer kicks off, this is the perfect collection to help our guests create lasting memories with family and friends, all season long.”
A few items, such as tableware and games, will be a first for the New England brand.
“We look forward to testing out new product categories and ultimately spreading our message of ‘Every day should feel this good’ in a new and fun way,” Shep Murray, CEO and co-founder of Vineyard Vines, said.
The collection will be available at Target stores and online between May 18 and July 13, or while supplies last.
The announcement comes after Vineyard Vines partnered for a collection with the New England Patriots and was named the official style of the Boston Red Sox last year.
