The 9 most fashion-y things to happen in Sochi
-

Now that the 2014 Winter Olympics have come to a close, we can no longer judge the athletes, including on what they’re wearing.
So, we think it’s an appropriate time to take a look back and pick our nine most fashion-y things that happened in Sochi.
Meaning: Things we liked. Also meaning: Not this. ^

Kaetlyn Osmond’s Marchesa-esque free skate costume

The 18-year-old Canadian competitor’s spangled skate dress out-sparkled the rest. She snagged a silver medal (totes matching) with her team and left us wondering: “Girl, can I borrow that?’’

Men on the ice
We always like seeing what the men’s figure skating competitiors bring to the table because their looks can really range on the drama scale. Michael Christian Martinez of the Philippines was our favorite in dress. He managed to capture a happy medium.

Noelle Pikus-Pace’s heavenly head of hair

Let’s just note that whoever is behind the blowouts for Team USA at Sochi is at the top of their game because everyone’s hair has been looking ah-mazing. Pikus Pace’s unreal beachy waves made a triumphant appearance when she accepted the silver medal for the women’s skeleton comeptition but we think she also deserves a gold in curling, because her locks are out of control. Ken doll Shaun White

See — what did we tell you? White’s suave look isn’t neccessarily new but that didn’t make his clean cut makeover any less impressive. How far we’ve come…

Team USA’s star-spangled ski leggings

We would wear these. For real.
-
The ultimate bling

Seriously?? Seriously. Sochi’s gold medal was designed by Moscow-based jeweler Adamas and was reported to be one of the largest in Olympic history by Forbes.com. Needless to say, we wouldn’t mind having one of these guys dangling from our charm bracelet.

Team Canada’s super cute toggle coats

We want one.
-
South Korea’s sleek speedskating uniforms

So. Chic. Fila designed these bad boys for Team South Korea and followed a very similar, extremely fresh — and randomly kind of nautical? — approach to outfitting their athletes for the Olympic Games.

Team Norway’s curling pants

They were the snazziest of all of the lands and are the ultimate rival for Team U.S.A.’s Ralph Lauren patchwork sweaters for the gaudiest of the games. But — still snazzy.
How snazzy? So snazzy they’ve got their own Facebook page.
