The Half Half Half Half Half Marathon returns next month
Run, walk, dance, or hop the 0.826-mile course.
As an event description for this upcoming Boston race points out, 26 miles is a pretty long run.
“Which is why there are now half marathons,” it continues. “But 13 miles is easier said than run.”
Enter the Half Half Half Half Half Marathon: a manageable 0.826 miles. On Thursday, April 11, the event returns to Boston Common for its third go.
There’s no running requirement either — participants can walk, jump, and skip as they please through the brief track. Whichever way entrants cross the finish line, they will benefit 826 Boston, a nonprofit tutoring and writing center for local youth aged 6 to 18. The organization will collect all proceeds from the mini marathon, going toward its $40,000 goal to “support student writing and publishing in Boston.”
Interested parties can register for one of three ticket tiers online. A $25 “Couch Warrior” ticket supports the event from afar, a $30 “Scrambled Legs” version enters you in the race, and a $40 “Legs Miserables” provides entry into the race as well as a 21+ after-party at Papagayo Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar.
